as we have our eyes firmly set on the brand, spanking, shiny, New Year ahead!

Party outfits

Thank goodness we've made it to Friday! Any party plans for the weekend? Whether you like glitz & glamour, or prefer pared back chic - these offering are sure to tempt you!

Party Hair

It's the run up to Xmas - so many parties/drinks do's to go to! We have all your outfit needs covered (just pop in to see us!) but in case you need help planning your party hair, here's some inspiration from a few of our favourite looks:

The braid is one of our all time favourites! This messy fishbone one is stunning!

Quiffs & Bouffants are also great (and a little easier to do than the braids if you're short on time!), we think this side part, backcombed, low pony is  elegant & fun:

Without the backcombing, it's effortless chic:

How cool is the Quiff? Simple to do too - just blow dry your hair upside down with a little root spray to give extra lift.  Then back-comb at the top before smoothing the quiff into place, and smoothing the sides down.

  

Accessories can add a touch of polish and really finish off your look:

Last but not least - the classic bun. Timeless elegance!

Only 13 more sleeps till Christmas Day - let the countdown begin! We're going to be showing you some of our favourite outfit ideas, make up & hair inspiration, things to do and last minute stocking fillers, so stay tuned!

Hmmm.... hopefully none of us have been so naughty we got kicked off the "good" list!

One of our favourite pieces this season is the faux fur jacket from American Retro - throw over dresses, wear with jeans or leggings - this gives you instant glamour and, may we add, much needed warmth!!!

Presents aren't the only things that need wrapping up this time of year! We took inspiration from Chanel's Metiers d'Art Paris-Edinburgh show and layered up with black, grey and a touch of tartan for our outfit of the day. Perfect for running round town on our Christmas errands and maybe a cheeky drink with friends at lunch!

Whilst I never combine them all at once (that would just be a mess), it's fun to play around with a couple of them  - say rock chick with elements of ladylike primness or comfy casual with sharp tailoring.

What are you inspired by?

Who doesn't like playing dress-up?!

So true..... I was looking for an excuse to dress up, maybe test drive the Dior S/S 2013 makeup looks (FYI - neon is HUGE for summer, so maybe start dipping your toe into the fluorescent waters now, then by the time it hits the shops it won't look so terrifyingly bright) and then realised it was Monday ..... again.... that's a good enough excuse for me!

Bright lids topped off with Swarovski crystals - looks amazing with the simple black dress.  I thought I might pair it with the new Malene Birger dress that's just come in (I've put a pic in at the end) - so perfect for the party season!

I love the contrast of the dazzling eyes with the simplicity, almost bareness of the rest of the look. 

and this dress is just so easy to wear - by the way, the back features a zip running from neckline to the bottom hem - very, very sexy.... just saying.
